With the development of computer technology and Large-scale application of Internet,Datas on Internet has a explosive growth. Traditional storage technologies can not meet people’s communications and data sharing requirements. Network storage technology replace traditional storage technologies gradually.Meanwhile, embedded technology developed rapidly. Embedded ARM architecture processor has been developed to CORTEX(ARM11)series through the ARM7series, ARM9series, ARM9E series, ARM10E series. Embedded products combined with the Internet increasingly close, Embedded products access network has become a trend. At present, network storage systems on the domestic market mostly use the mature hardware platform,such as X86.They are expensive,intellectual property protected. Follow the development trend of embedded systems and the demand of network data storage and so on.This paper proposes to build an embedded network storage system on the SD Embedded Development Platform (K60microcontroller CORTEX-M4core) and embedded μC/OS-Ⅲ operating system.At first,this paper introduces the advantages, disadvantages and applicable environment of three mainstream network storage technology,which are DAS (Direct Attached Storage), NAS (Network Attached Storage) and SAN (Storage Area Network) and make a simple comparison between this three mainstream network storage technology.After that, the paper describes the interact process,which is between embedded network storage system and client, on this platform,and describes hardware environment and software functions of the embedded network storage system,and then describe the general Design of embedded FTP server system,a network storage system.Subsequently, the paper introduces the concepts or protocol used in this system and the detailed design and implementation of the embedded FTP server system.Finally, the paper describes the set-up and configuration process of the test environment, and test cases and the results were analyzed.
