Research And Implementation Of Entity Linking’s Key Problem

The entity linking task is to link name mentions of entities in a document collection to entities in a reference KB, or to new named entities discovered in the collection. The main goal of the entity linking track is to promote research in and to evaluate the ability of automated systems to discover information about named entities and to incorporate this information in a knowledge source.The key issues include three aspects:document clustering, query expansion, candidate ranking. In the paper, the main research work and innovations are described as follows:1. As the information from background document is insufficient for query expansion, this paper proposes to use a priority queue HAC clustering algorithm.2:For the challenge of name variations and entity disambiguation, this paper proposes to use named entity recognition algorithm and rule model to expand query.3:In view of the candidate nodes ranking, this paper proposes to use information retrieval model, combining vector space model to rank candidates.
