The world has entered the digital age. Digital technology has had a colossalimpact on our lives. Digital TV has basically universal in the city, and basicallyeveryone has more than one device. Digital television, computers, mobile phones andother digital devices are used in our everyday life. A simple example: up to September2013, the mobile is5inches and qHD resolution in popularity. With the developmentof digital device, people’s requirement about the quality of digital images is improved.In addition, if we need to look closely at the object of the image, we are required toenlarge the image. There are plenty of applications based on this aspect, and they alsohave a high value. For example, in the area of Satellite remote sensing andmeteorological monitoring, we often use the zoom technology to observe the detailsof remote sensing image. We also use the technology in Electron microscopy imaging,and observing biological sliced. The technology is even used in anime gameprocessing. However, there will be some problems in digital image processing. Alow-resolution image which is displayed on a high resolution digital devices requireamplification process, and the enlarged image will produce jagged and image blurringphenomenon.In order to address the practical problems, this topic will use the simplest edgedetection algorithm to find the edges of the image, and then a pixel is interpolated bydifferent image zooming algorithms for an edge and non-edge. At last simulationsprove that the proposed method which uses the interpolation with edge detection andthe edge smoothing can modify the image quality.
