The human brain processes speech task complexly,DIVA (Direction Into Velocities ofArticulators) model is a neural computing model which can give a accurate description of the roleof brain regions associated with the voice generation and speech understanding and simulate theirworkflow. Due to its high accuracy and openness, this model received various concerns andresearch in recent years. But the speech processing procedure has high complexity; the study found that the model andthe actual physiological vocal process have some access, without achieving the desired outcomes. Therefore the model is improved to a certain extent in this paper, through the use of another timedelay mechanism, which is called constant delay mechanism, so that the simulate effect of themodel is more ideal. In the simulation experiment, after introducing the new delay module, thesound process is satisfactory, it can be closer to the physiological processes.Clinical studies show that Chinese and English speech process has certain difference, the humanbrain is different for the processing of the two mechanisms, so we hope that through the speechmodel we can simulate both vocal process, and compare the difference between them. Thus, thispaper uses another delay mechanism, that is a constant delay mechanism, improves it, and finally ithas been some improvement. On the basis of DIVA model, adding Chinese vocal pitch mechanism,we simulate the Chinese speech process and compare it with English. The simulation results showthat, the model accords with the result of clinical observation.
