Acoustic vector sensor(AVS) technology can be used in many fields, such as the mobilepositioning, sonar, source localization, biological medicine and other national economy andmilitary defense domains. Moreover, compared with the acoustic pressure sensors, acousticvector sensor can measure the pressure information and particle velocity vector of a certainpoint synchronously to acquire the multi-dimensional acoustic signal information. Therefore,AVS and its signal processing technology has been the focus of research direction.In recent years, the research of array signal processing technology based on AVSfocuses on the spatial spectral estimation, and the spatial spectrum estimation algorithms arebased on the assumptions that target in the observation time is static. While, in a realenvironment, the signal source is usually in motion, the premise that the location informationof the object is stationary is no longer established. Estimation algorithm of the direction ofarrival (DOA) to solve the DOA estimation of dynamic target will cause large estimationerror. As the demand of the estimation accuracy of DOA and real-time is higher, and staticDOA estimation algorithm can not meet the requirements of the rising requirement, so it isurgent to research the DOA estimation of dynamic targets.This paper mainly studies the DOA tracking estimation algorithm of AVS based onparticle filtering algorithm (PF) is proposed. Firstly, steering vector and measurement modelof AVS array is established, and the particle filtering algorithm and Bayesian EstimationTheory is introduced in detail. The DOA estimation tracking algorithm based on particlefiltering algorithm is put forward. And on the basis of the algorithm, according to theindependence of the elevation angle and azimuth angle, an improved PF algorithm withindependent evaluation of sample weight is proposed, and applied to the DOA tracking.Then, the MUSIC algorithm based on the quaternion theory is studied. The quaternion modelof the direction vector of AVS is established, and the quaternion MUSIC algorithm(QMUSIC) is deduced. Then, an improving algorithm combined with particle filtering is proposed. Finally, through simulation experiment, the proposed tracking algorithms havebetter tracking performance.This paper mainly studies about DOA tracking problem of acoustic vector sensor, andI’m looking forward to the research in this paper that will help contribute to the developmentof the theory of acoustic vector array signal and the application of practical engineering. Inthe future work, the related research about the algorithms of AVS DOA tracking also needsto continue.
