In recent years, the cloud computing technology have developed gradually from the technical introduction stage to value creation stage in our country, but managers and scholars still has not reached a consensus for questions that the cloud computing technology whether and how can affect organization performance. Based on the IT fashion theory and IT business value theory, the mechanism of cloud computing technology affecting organizational performance are discussed. This paper selects40Chinese listed companies from2010to2013as sample, and empirical research on the relationship of cloud computing technology and organizational performance by using panel data analysis method.The study founds that,1) both accounting performance, operational performance and market performance, enterprises transferring information with cloud computing technology don’t gain significant performance improvement;2) the actual investment of cloud computing technology will improve accounting performance and operating performance significantly after the delay for a period of time;3) the actual investment of cloud computing technology can cause market performance improvement in the short term, but limited.This article studies value creation in Chinese cloud computing technology application environment early, and has a certain degree of theoretical and practical significance. Based on IT fashion and IT business value theory, this paper constructs hypothesis model and index system of the cloud computing impacting organizational performance, which made up for the lack of domestic related research to some extent. In view of the present phenomenon of coexistence of actual investment and wait, the empirical analysis result provides a reference for enterprise managers to make investment decisions.
