LTE-A networks can meet these requirements perfectly. LTE-A is a smooth evolution to LTE network, which can guarantee higher data transmission rate and higher spectrum utilization rate. At present, the international organization has started research work towards LTE-A. And there are several candidate key technologies which have attracted most people’s attention. Among them, the enhanced multi-antenna technology can largely increase the channel capacity and spectrum efficiency through increasing space transmission dimensions which is regarded as one of the most potential directions of technology development. How to use the limited resources to satisfy more users demand for services has become an urgent problem.Based on the preliminary research of the intelligent antenna, we propose the research frame of the beamforming algorithm, and introduce the typical beamforming technology in multi-cell and multi-user MIMO scenarios and the resource allocation technique in communication system.Based on above sections, this dissertation presents a novel beamforming and resource allocation scheme in the C-RAN scenario. The scheme makes use of the distributed deployment feature of C-RAN with centralized processing, which can break traditional cell restrictions by letting users select the access points independently. In addition, the scheme also breaks the existing research method about the sequential optimization on clustering and beamforming, and employs a method of joint clustering and beamforming optimization, and also makes full use of system dimension, which can improve the utilization rate of the system frequency. In the simulation experiments, we select the multi-cell and multi-user CoMP scene as the contrasted scenario. In this scenario, the adjacentbase stations in terms of geographical locations are divided into a cluster. Within the cluster, we select the CoMP-JP transmission mode. Among the clusters, we select the CoMP-CB transmission mode. The scheme algorithm complexity which this dissertation proposes is lower than the contrasted scheme. Then through the analysis of the utilization rate of system frequency and performance of each access point service, we find the new beamforming and resource allocation scheme can improve performance of about40%compared with the contrasted scheme. The new scheme can significantly improve the system spectrum utilization and enhance the overall system performance.
