Mobile communication has become an inseparable part of people’s daily life. The popularity of the Internet business makes a lot of audio and video data into people’s lives and the rapid development of mobile communication services makes the requirement for communication capacity increase fast and the demand for mobile bandwidth is also urgently increasing. At the same time, higher demand for real-time system is also proposed. Long Term Evolution (LTE) systems use a series of critical infrastructure wireless technologies, including Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Multiplexing (OFDM) technology, Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) technology and all-packet switching technology. These technologies significantly improve the communication rate and also improve spectral efficiency. The flat architecture of packet optimization techniques can support seamless mobility which greatly reduces the protocol processing delay and improves service quality. All-packet switching technology can ensure real-time service quality (such as VoIP). LTE systems have been deployed in large scale worldwide, and its related technologies have matured.This paper focuses on the process of TD-LTE random access physical layer receiving process. Firstly the algorithm design, functional testing and performance simulation of each RA receiving module is given. Then the code of each module is implemented on FreeScale MSC8157multi-core baseband processor. Functional testing, code optimization and performance analysis are made to achieve real-time processing requirements.Firstly, this paper proposes a new method for RA preamble detecting. The method can be used with different noise estimation methods. Simulation results for all kinds of preamble formats under both normal mode and high speed mode scenes are given. The results show that the algorithm has about2-3dB increasement by the protocol. The algorithm is of low complexity and easy for engineering implementation.Secondly, the design and implenmentation is based on latest generation FreeScale MSC8157broadband wireless access DSP. The whole RA receiving process chain is verified. In order to ensure real-time and concurrency, this paper gives some specific code optimization methods and optimization results. This paper verifies the feasibility of the system implementation based on the DSP hardware architecture and system features.Thirdly, an anti-alias low-pass filter is designed for RA receiving side and its relevant characteristics are given. It is designed and implemented on the DSP platform. It can improve the detection performance of random access.
