As China’s economic development and urbanization, municipal solid waste generation isgrowing, bottles are an important part of garbage. Recycling bottles and manufacturing hasbecome a new industry developed rapidly in our country, which makes resources the use of avirtuous circle, which can change waste into treasure, save energy, and protect the ecologicalbalance in the country. Bottles recovery emerged, intelligent recycling machines on themarket today and many more as a beverage bottle barcode recognition of identification, thispaper is a method of image processing carried out research on the detection based beveragebottles.The beverage bottle shape detection and recognition is the focus of this research andunderstand of shape and analysis is a very important visual inspection technology. To getdrinks bottles recognition in the recycling equipment testing, it is necessary for regionalbeverage bottles target image segmentation, and the bottles contour feature recognition.This paper introduces the research background and summarizes machine vision system ina variety of test applications. Through various pretreatment methods, edge detection andmorphological image processing combine to give a clear beverage bottles edge. This paperdescribes the shape feature extraction and identification for the image of captured bottles,with the Harris corner point method, minimum circumscribed moment method and correlationshape combined with the beverage bottle profile information and calibration of the camera,through integral method to estimate the volume of a beverage bottle to provide a basis for therecovery rebate beverage bottles. The experimental results show the effectiveness of themethod.
