In the vast majority of the existing publish/subscribe systems, data forwarding service relies on the traditional network equipment. Since the network devices are not reliable and they are dynamically connected with each other, the publish/subscribe systems cannot provide completely reliable data forwarding service. The data forwarding schemes also have some problems such as high latency and instability. For these reasons, we put forward an OpenFlow-based publish/subscribe system’s data forwarding scheme. This scheme is based on OpenFlow network and it uses the interfaces and protocols provided by OpenFlow to realize data forwarding service. That makes the publish/subscribe system’s data forwarding scheme more efficient and reliable.Besides, publish/subscribe system has some characters such as asynchronous and multipoint communication, so the data flows in the system may become more complex. After studying the previous publish/subscribe system’s data flow, we design a new network traffic management algorithm to deal with the burst traffic problem. Finally, we test the entire data forwarding scheme on its function and stability, the result shows that OpenFlow based publish/subscribe system’s data forwarding scheme has achieved the expected goals. |
