The Design And Implementation Of Blind Area Hint System Based On Traffic Video Information

In the condition of vehicle crossing on roundabout, the driver’s sight somehow is sheltered by the trees or the buildings, then the driver will not detect the vehicles immediately. In this case, accident is easily occur. But in this research, we design a system of vehicle crossing on roundabout prompt system, to give tips to the driver based on the condition of the traffic they can’t see for the moment.By using a webcam on the road, get the video information and analysis it, we can get the information of the vehicle speed, the traffic and if there is any people on the road, those results will be sent to the driver, in the way of signs along the road or car terminals. Video information processing technology can process a serious of video, analysis the continuous images and get the information of moving target, for further tracking, identification, classification, state analysis.In this paper, there are three main points. First, a detail solution is designed. Second, the algorithm is realized like background subtraction and HOG+SVM. Third, the system is developed to show the result of it.The system is different from traditional by webcam over the road to collect the video of the traffic and finish a series of function. On the one hand webcam is easily arranged and without dig the road, it is easily maintained. On the other hand, webcam has a bigger view, and can make the detection more effective.
