With the development of the Internet of Things technology, intelligent identification and management of all items become a continuous research goal of people. As the supporting technology of the Internet of Things, the technology of M2M (Machine-to-Machine) has important research values and application prospect. Due to the flexibility and mobility of M2M devices, M2M networks utilize wireless communication methods. The traditional mobile communication network can provide service for H2H (human-to-human) communication. By building M2M networks based on traditional networks, we can take advantage of the existing infrastructure and save construction cost, which may rapidly improve the rapid spread of the M2M technology. The merging of M2M and3GPP networks has become a research focus in these years. Given the limited resources in traditional communication networks, the research of resources allocation algorithm in M2M and H2H coexisting networks has practical significance. We will study this problem in this thesis. The main work is as follows:Firstly, we present a waiting queue model and a related uplink joint resources scheduling algorithm for M2M and H2H users. Different joint scheduling methods based on the user data flow characteristics are adopted, so that each user can meet the appropriate quality of services (QoS) requirements. The proposed algorithm includes the following aspects:first, decide the user type according to the incoming data packets. If it is from a H2H user, put the package into the real-time waiting queue or the non-real-time waiting queue depending on the QoS requirements. If it is from a M2M user, put the package into the non-real-time waiting queue. Then, we use different scheduling methods for different waiting queues. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve better performance compared to using a separate scheduling algorithm in terms of guaranteeing the QoS of H2H users and ensuring the throughput of M2M users.Secondly, we propose a downlink resources allocation algorithm with resource reservation in order to guarantee the system throughput and QoS of H2H users. The proposed algorithm includes the following aspects:first, we confirm the user association scheme between users and base stations. Base stations in the small cell networks compete to serve users. After the user is associated to a base station, the resource reservation scheme would be used for allocating resources. The problem is changed to an optimization problem which can be solved by the Nash equilibrium and the power filling methods. Simulation results show the proposed user association scheme with resource reservation can guarantee the QoS of H2H users as well as achieve a better system throughput.
