Fieldbus occupies an important position in the field of industrial control technology, and these automatic control systems based on Fieldbus technology apply popularly in industrial production. The thesis is researched and designed under this background.This paper analyzes the process of forging production lines and the process of forging control system, combined with the technical requirements and user needs, used PROFIBUS fieldbus technology to construct the overall structure of the control system of automated forging lines, completed the forging control system design and implementation. The main tasks are:(1)In-depth study of the PROFIBUS field bus control system of the main types, technical characteristics, the industrial application status and technical standards, Analysis of the technical characteristics of the PROFIBUS and protocol structure, Then conducted in-depth analysis of the basic functions of PROFIBUS-DP protocol, data communications, the structure of the system model and related technology agreements, Finally, this design uses PROFIBUS-DP fieldbus communications for forging production line.(2)Combined with the characteristics of the fieldbus and traditional forging production line, the thesis designed forging production line control system based on PROFIBUS, the overall structure of the control system, control system functions, and the composition of the forging production line control system, then DP/DP coupler to join in the communication, completed the design of the main control system of the entire forging production line.(3)Utilize STEP7software for programming the control system, combined with practical engineering, select of WINCC the flexible monitoring software, design and development and forging production line monitoring system, visual display of the production process and parameter settings, to achieve communication between PLC and field devices, PLC and PLC, PC and PLC, so that each part of system efficiency of signal exchange.(4)From the actual usage of the forging line, design of the forging line master control program automated management. Stability and timeliness of the production line the user is certainly, realization of the project to achieve the purpose of centralized monitoring, after commissioning of the entire system to meet the project’s design objectives and the actual production purposes.
