Ad Hoc network is a kind of wireless network with the characteristics of multi-hop routing, self-organization, no center. It has broad application prospects in the fields of military, defense, commercial. Compared with traditional networks, because of the new characteristics of topology dynamically changing, completely open wireless channels and limited resources, Ad Hoc network faces more complex security problems that traditional security mechanisms can not solve. Routing is one of the key issues for reliable operation in Ad Hoc network. A feasible and effective key management mechanism is an important prerequisite to ensure secure communications in Ad Hoc networks. This makes secure routing and key management become two important security issues in Ad Hoc networks.First, this thesis describes the characteristics, security issues and security requirements of Ad Hoc networks, and analysis the types, advantages and disadvantages of existing group-key management protocols and secure routing protocols. Second, some improvements and security extensions are introduced to solve the existing problems of OLSR routing protocol. On one hand, this thesis improves the protocol performance with the optimization for MPR set selection in multi-point relay mechanism based on a new ant colony algorithm. On the other hand, in order to solve the security problems of OLSR Routing Protocol, this thesis designs a secure OLSR routing protocol based on the combination of existing security expansion methods. Third, based on the the distributed key management, the trust mechanism of the local group, zero-knowledge proof and timestamp exchange mechanism of the secure OLSR routing protocol, a new lightweight and robust group-key management strategy for Ad Hoc Networks is proposed. The strategy can reduce both the number of control messages and the energy spent with cryptographic operations with low energy consumption, high efficiency and high availability. Then, this thesis demonstrates the security and anti-offensive of the strategy wiht safety analysis. Finally, Compared to other existing group-key agreement protocols, the simulation results show that the proposed strategy can ensure the security of Ad Hoc networks with a very low-impact on the secure routing protocol performance, low-power, high efficiency. This thesis studies the secure routing technology and group-key management strategy in Ad Hoc networks, puts forward the corresponding security solutions, improves the security system of Ad Hoc networks, and has an important and positive significance to improve the safety of Ad Hoc networks and to promote applications of Ad Hoc networks.
