With the people’s growing demand for wireless communication services, more spectrums areplanned for personal wireless communication service. But the realistic problem is that theavailability of the wireless communication spectrum is not high. The basic idea of cognitive radio isthe effective use of the spectrum holes, which allows unauthorized users to use unlicensed spectrum,and it does not cause interference to authorized user. Cognitive radio technology has made greatprogress in theory in the past ten years, but it still have the following problems: Although there aremany good spectrum detection algorithm, but the detection of spectrum holes will still makeinterference to primary user, so the performance of network is limited.Aiming the problems above, we introduce wireless sensor network into cognitive radio, sincethe high efficacy and low-cost of wireless sensor network, we can monitor, collect, and sendspectrum information, and it cause no interference to the primary user, so it will improve thespectrum utilization and realize effective communication.Firstly, a detailed study of the overall framework of the wireless sensor networkaided cognitive radio system, analyzes the working principle of the system, study of the systemsize, analysis of the system size through modeling and simulation based on the cognitive scene.Then this paper has conducted the research to the wireless sensor networkprotocol stack, respectively, make a comparison between cluster head and the fusion center basedon the system information flow, and design a wireless sensor network protocol stack, finally basedon this protocol stack, a set of factors has considered to the actual scene between fusion center andthe cluster head, which analyzes the good performance of the control process.Then through the establishment of corresponding system model, this paper introduce four kindsof time delay of system communication, and then make some optimization to solve the timedelay of the node to node communication, and finally make the comparison and simulation betweenthe classical method and optimization method, and analyze the simulation result.Finally, this paper designs a wireless sensor network aided cognitive radio system structurediagram, the practical application scenarios of the system protocol stack, make selection andanalysis on the system of nodes from the aspects of hardware, and has described working principle.
