In this thesis,the research is focused on the solve of Nozzle Mura phenomenon inthin-film transistor liquid-crystal display’s manufacture techniques. Structure and theoryof In-Plane Switching Liquid Crystal Display (IPS LCD) based on liquid crystals’theory and physical characteristics are also expatiated This thesis provides detailedtheory and application foundation to acquaintance the IPS-LCD’s theory, physicalcharacteristics, manufacture techniques, and production techniques to improve the defectof Liquid Crystal Displays.First, we introduced the present situation of the development of liquid crystaldisplays and the development trend in China and abroad。Then, on the basis of liquid crystals’ theory and physical characteristics, weexpatiated the IPS-LCD’s structure, modes, and material characters.And, we focused on IPS-LCD’s manufacture techniques and performance index, weexplain the process of film deposition, exposure, development, ecthing, stripping in TFTprocess, and polyimide(PI)ink coating, rubbing, seal coating, integration, cutting in Cellprocess. And according to the manufacture techniques, we deliberate the resolution,aperture ratio, view angle, contrast ratio of the liquid crystal displays.At last, we studied the formation cause of Nozzle mura, and experimentallycorrelated the nozzle angle and calibre with Nozzle mura. Then we improve the nozzleangle and the caliber and the Nozzle mura ratio have been successfully reduced.
