With the rapid development of Internet technology and the fourth-generation mobilecommunication systems (4G) started business, the demand for high-speed broadband mobilecommunications is increasingly strong. In order to meet the demand for business of high-speed,experts and scholars need to do more in-depth study for mobile communications technology. Whichin LTE system PAPR suppression issue is an important work to be solved.This paper do a detailed analysis for the PAPR generation and distribution as well assuppression technology in the LTE system. This paper is divided into two parts of research work.The first part analyzes the downlink PAPR suppression techniques. This section describes theclipping and filtering technology, selective mapping technology and partial transmit sequencetechnology. By MATLAB simulation we carried out a detailed analysis of the algorithm complexityof each technology and its impact on system performance; then make a horizontal comparison foreach of the algorithm and analyzes the technical application in the real environment of LTEdownlink system.The second part analyzes the PAPR performance in LTE uplink system, introduces the basictheory and characteristics of SC-FDMA technology; then introduces the relevant theoreticalknowledge of SC-FDMA: subcarrier mapping, DFT spreading, raised cosine pulse response, etc.;does a detailed introduction for subcarrier mapping and its three ways; derives the domain formulaof SC-FDMA symbol which use the different sub-carrier mapping mode. By MATLAB simulationwe make analysis and comparison for LTE uplink PAPR performance.
