Driven by3GPP, LTE is developed from Release8to Release10. Release10is also called LTE-A, which is short for LTE-Advanced. The overall design and performance of LTE-A has far exceeded the minimum requirements of4Q LTE-A thus becomes a true4G standard. Compared with LTE, LTE-A introduces a number of new technologies. This paper focuses on several key technologies associated with the pilot in LTE-A uplink link level. This article first briefly describes the LTE-A uplink transmission scheme, with a comparative analysis of the effects of different transmission schemes on system performance. The simulation results are then compared, which show that under the influence of non-linear amplifier, DFTS-OFDM can bring significant advantage compared to the OFDMA system, thus proving that SC-OFDM is the correct selection for LTE-A uplink. The second part studies the uplink pilot design for multi-antenna, including DMRS and SRS. The former is used for equalization and the latter is used for pre-coding selection. This paper proposes an improved pilot design. It not only considers compatibility with LTE system, but also makes multi-antenna pilot interference between the signals as low as possible. Simulation results show the pilot design is reasonable. On the basis of the improved design of the SRS, the paper proposes an optimized SRS channel estimation algorithm, which can achieve approximate accuracy of exponential PDP channel estimation, while significantly reducing the complexity of the algorithm. The simulation results of the performance of the algorithm are validated. Finally, we build a model for the adjacent cell interference, based on which we introduce a pilot-assisted IRC algorithm. The simulation results prove that IRC is able to effectively reduce the adjacent cell interference, thus improving system performance.
