The Study Of Information Security Management In Power Enterprise

Power system information security is the safeguard for the safe operation of the power systemand the reliable power supply. The enterprises decide the information security of electric power, aslong as it has the characteristics of the general computer network information security and thepower to run control system with information safety. Supervisory Control and DataAcquisition/Energy Management System (SCADA/EMS) is the core of security. Although thepower system is more emphasis on information security, but for various reasons, the power systemdoesn’t have a complete, unified security strategy to guide the entire power system, computersystem and the information security. Therefore, it is very important to establish a strategy forinformation security management of electricity enterprise.In this paper, the management of information security in electric power enterprises wasstudied. This report involves the following aspects:First, the domestic and overseas status of information security management in electric powerenterprises was introduced. Besides, the background, significance, and main contents of thisresearch were also contained. Secondly, the related concepts and technology of informationsecurity management in electric power enterprises, including information security, point ofinformation security, state secrets, classification level of the company secrets, virus and Trojan,system vulnerabilities, password cracking and back door presetting, were analyzed. The mainproblems of information security management were also presented. Finally, the actual needs,which included current threat types and problems of power enterprise information securitymanagement, were analyzed. Secure manage measures about information security were alsoproposed. The main emphasis of our research is to study the concrete safety measures according tothe safety managerial model and the actual situation in electric power company of jiangsuprovince,so we can carry our point.
