Surface acoustic wave (SAW) device has a simple structure and a wide range ofapplications. Due to SAW filter (SAWF) has good characteristics, which has been widelyapplied in the field of electronic information. Currently, SAW device mostly produced byintegrated circuit. It can produce the fine line circuit. However, the process involves complexoperations and requires expensive equipment. Therefore, SAW device with low-cost in largescale production has great realistic significance. This paper creatively prepared SAW filterwith Printed Electronics (PE) technology, which not only simplifies the operation process, butalso reduces the cost of equipment. Meanwhile the process of production will not producewaste water and waste gas. This method solves the existing problems of microelectronictechnology.This method, which based on PE technology making SAW filter, except to be proved thefeasibility in theory, but also needs to be further improved. This paper starts from the relatedprinciples of SAWF, then studies structure and properties of its main components---InterDigital Transducer (IDT). This paper designed SAWF which based on accuracy that PEdevices in laboratory can be achieved to. Then the theoretical results were calculated. Thefeasibility of the new approach verified by comparing the results between simulation andexperimental. The part of improvement can be summed by results of comparison. Theacquired data also can effectively service to large-scale production of SAW devices whichbased on PE technology in the future.Contents of this paper are follows:Firstly, the paper full investigated the SAW technology and PE technology researchingstatus and proposed the preparation of the SAW devices based on PE technology.Secondly, this paper followed the basic theory of SAWF and combined with processingaccuracy of PE equipment, which designed a SAWF model whose geometry suitable for PEtechnology. Then selected the appropriate piezoelectric materials and simulated the model.Finally, the paper compared the measurement results with the simulation results to verifythe feasibility of producing SAWF which based on PE technology. According to the results ofsimulation and experimental comparison then summed the influencing factors, which will laythe foundation for later experimental studies.The primary innovation of this paper is to:1. The production of SAW device which based on the PE technology is a new method. Ithas a lot of research gaps in theory, so the study of this paper is very theoretical and scientific.2. This paper compared the new method with the traditional micro-electronic technology.The innovative approach is operating simpler, low-cost, no waste water, no waste gas and noother harmful substances. This way not only contributes to protect the environment, but alsoachieves large-scale production more easily. Therefore, this method has great application prospect and very important economic significance.
