Temperature detection everywhere in the life, infrared thermometer is an instrumentwhich transforming the radiation into an electrical signal and then transforming it into atemperature value. The radiation energy is attached to the emitting infrared, there isa corresponding relation between the infrared radiation and temperature. Infrared detector isthe main component of the infrared thermometer, and the electrical signals outputtedis MV magnitude, which belongs to the category of weak signals. This paper introducesinfrared thermometer’s structure, research background and research status, compares thedifference between the infrared thermometer and the infrared thermal imager, introduces theresearch status of weak signals processing and displaying at home and abroad, and focus onhow to realize the circuit of weak signals’ processing and displaying by infrared detector.The project’s hardware system use C8051F340MCU as the main control, and withthe peripheral equipment to achieve, including crystal oscillator circuit, reset circuit, powersource and USB power supply circuit, programming interface, USB communication interface,AT24C1024memory circuit, MLG—132088display circuit. The amplifying and filteringcircuit is consist of TLC2652, OP1177, resistance and capacity which is set up in the front ofC8051F340MCU, intending to amplify weak signals outputted by infrared detector, andmaking the voltage amplified is in the range of the voltage that C8051F340can process.C8051F340MCU has ADC0subsystems, the subsystem integrates with1ADC and2selector,and ADC is a10bit successive approximation register, the selector is analog, and ADC canhandle the signals which are handled by the pre amplifying and filtering circuit, and it alsohas a detector which can be program and a tracking circuit.In the simulation condition, the system can realize the processing and display of weaksignal. In addition, what the system circuit uses are all electronic components in common, andthe type and quantity are few, so that it has the advantages of simple structure, low cost, wideapplication prospect in the infrared temperature measurement.The main research contents of this paper:1. Using TLC2652, OP1177, resistance and capacitance to amplify the weak signals byinfrared detector outputted which achieve the voltage range that C8051F340MCU canprocess.2. Using C8051F340MCU to process amplified signal, such as the AD conversion.3. The memory chip AT24c1024are used, its role is storing the signals what are used byC8051F340MCU.4. Using the MLG—1320888×8LED array to display the temperature value C8051F340MCU processed.The innovation of this paper: 1. Measure the multi point’s temperature of the object at the same time.2. Display the measured absolute temperature distribution of the surface of the object inreal-time.3. Solve the problem of multiple weak signal processing.
