Gas-liquid two-phase flow widely exists in various industrial processes andapplications, such as chemical industry, nuclear energy and electric power industry.Currently, research in this area is mainly involved gauge of flow rate and phasefraction and modeling of flow systems. This paper analyzes the flow image ofgas-liquid two-phase flow, in-depth study of the texture changes in the two-phaseevolution. In this text, adaptive median filter and tophat-bothat method was used ontwo-phase flow image preprocessing, and then GLCM and LBP operator was used tocomplete the texture characteristics of two-phase flow. This study has importantsignificance in the industrial automation and safety, design and optimization of thepipeline system, development work of two-phase or multiphase flow metering.Consider to the image of two-phase flow was mixed with a certain amount ofnoise, and each image is darker, we use adaptive median filter and tophat-bothatmethod in the image preprocessing. Preprocessing is divided into two parts, de-noisingand image enhancement, in the image preprocessing, firstly, we must study the theoryof four de-noising algorithm and three image enhancement algorithms, and simulationexperiment on MATLAB for each algorithm. Comparing the treatment effect of eachalgorithm, combined with inherent characteristics of the flow image, in the end, thispaper choose the adaptive median filter and tophat-bothat method as the preprocessingmethod. The results showed that the fiow image after preprocessing is relatively clear,can be used to study the texture changes in the two-phase evolution.For the texture image characteristic questions of gas-liquid two-phase flow, wecombine GLCM and LBP operator to complete the texture characteristics of two-phaseflow image. In this paper, on the basis of image texture overview, GLCM was used tocomplete the texture parameters extraction of two-phase image. Using the LBPoperator in different flow image, we obtained texture spectrum and its histogram,Combining the texture parameters and fhe texture spectrum and its histogram,the results show that different flow patterns have great differences in the texturecharacteristics, this characteristics can reflect the flow characteristics of two-phasebetter, and it provides a way for studying two-phase flow characteristics further.
