A wireless ad hoc network is a decentralized type of wireless network, which does not rely on a pre existing infrastructure. All devices have equal status on a network and are free to associate with any other ad hoc network device in link range.In this thesis, data link layer stack is developed to TDMA-based wireless ad hoc network with high speed, and high reliability. By modifying Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) and Media Access Control (MAC), an evolution Radio Link Control (RLC) protocol is designed. It includes three data transmission mode, i.e. automatic retransmission request mechanism, relay function and fusion function. Following, RLC layer protocol software is designed in this thesis, which consists of RLC layer protocol software design objectives, module design and business process design. The part of module design is divided into RLC Public module, RLC Transparent Mode module, RLC Unacknowledged Mode module and RLC Acknowledged Mode module. As one of the most important module, RLC AM module is developed in detail. In the end, this thesis gives the corresponding test method and test results of the designed protocols.This thesis has the strong reference significance in wireless Ad hoc networks stack’s design and development based on TDMA protocols.
