MES (Manufacturing Execution System), an intermediate step between ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) and PCS (Process Control System), is a computerizedinformation system that works in real time to enable the control of multiple elements ofthe production process. And at present more and more small manufacturing companycomes out and the mode of manufacturing industry is transforming from large-scaleproducing to large-customization producing. And there comes out many challenges tothe development of MES. Traditional MES often can only deal with problems in onearea and don’t have a good performance of suitability when facing uncertain data andchangeable work flow. Therefore a higher flexibility MES is needed to meet therequirement of changeable manufacturing and to provide real-time monitoring andadapt to the change of production at the same time.In the view of the above problems, a message center that the core of configurationand reconfiguration based reconfigurable MES is proposed. And models of dataprocess and control process in message center are designed. And real-time monitoringis accomplished through the process of data flow and control flow. Furthermore, thereconfiguration of MES is accomplished through the reconfiguration of data modelsand control models under the driven of process change.The main content of this study is as follows:(1) The framework of message center based reconfigurable MESA message center based MES is put forward and it can be divided into two partsthat the work flow and the message center. And the message center which the center ofreconfiguration include models library, data flow and control flow process modules.And models are utilized as the foundation of system running and reconfiguration. Anddata flow and control flow fulfill the real-time monitoring and controlling through theprocess of models.(2) The process of data flowModels based real-time data processing is put forward. Communication modelwhich completes the data collection is proposed to adapt different communications. And data model is proposed to integrate diversity of data. And data path is designed tomaintain real-time data in message center.(3) The process of control flowCEP (Complex Event Processing) based monitoring control processing is putforward. Low coupling event model is designed and event system is constructed underthe instruction of system process model. And event real-time monitoring is fulfilledthrough CEP method and for the monitoring event Callback mechanism is used forprocessing.(4) The reconfiguration of MESA method of model reconfiguration in message center under the driven force fromthe business process is proposed and the reconfigurable of MES is achieved throughthe change of data flow and control flow models. At last the consistency of business ismaintained both from planning system to execution system and from execution systemto control system.Finally, according to the proposed mechanism a reconfigurable MES isimplemented based on message center. And the implementation of the prototype andverification results show that the system complete real-time monitoring effectively andhave a good performance of flexible.
