Single-chip computer, characterized by the small size and powerful function, isvery suitable for the embedded systems and has being widely developed and widelyapplied. In the actual engineering procedure, a single-chip system is oftenconstructed for the data transmission and exchange.For example, the serialasynchronous communication unit is almost integrated in every single-chip system.The ward call system, by which the need of patients can be passed to medical staffwithout delay so that doctor can take action promptly, is the most simply andefficiently communicating routine. The ward call system can efficiently andreasonably make use of medical resources, lower work intensity of medical staff,improve patients’comfort, and standardized the daily hospital management. Theward call system can improve medical service and prompt the hospital develop ofintelligentization and informatization.My study is derived from increased pressure from the daily operation andmaintenance procedures of integrated ward call management system in an affiliatedHospital of a medical university. This research analyzed the DCS, standardizedprotocols of the OSI, and EMC theory. Its design is based on distributed controlsystem and the mainstream bus technology.In this paper, the communication principles of the calling system was analyzed,which included the principles of serial asynchronous communication, circuitstructure, communication data format; the application of serial asynchronouscommunication in the practical engineering; multi-machine communication and itsactual design; the anti-jamming characteristics of the various signals and influenceof interference on physical line. I proposed a method of a host of sub-machineaddressing, and found that twisted pair+differential signal transmission mode hasthe best anti-interference performance. I also further analyzed engineering measuresto improve the anti-interference ability and increase the communication distance.On the basis of thorough analysis for the distributed communication system, Idesigned a set of prototype of ward call management system, which including a hostand three counter machines. I further studied the topics about pair host machines inthe system call and group call, finally designed a practical ward comprehensive callcommunication system.
