In recent years, Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) technology is developingrapidly and widely used, it makes people get full functionality of traditional wiredLANs through wireless medium which has strong mobility and flexibility. However, because of the broadcast nature of wireless signals and design flaws of networkprotocols, WLAN security issues have become increasingly prominent. In this paper, I made a research on the composition of IEEE802.11wirelessLANs, especially the physical layer and MAC layer structure; and studied the existingwireless LAN offensive and defensive technology. Through analysis and comparison,I proposed an efficient WLAN jamming attack scenario using the vulnerabilities inphysical layer of the802.11protocol. I implemented this attack scenario on PCplatform by modifying the Host AP driver of Linux, and tested the effects of jammingattack. Then, I combined jamming attack and fake AP attack, designed andimplemented a set of802.11WLAN attack tools. Through jamming attack, we forcedthe normal users to disconnect with the normal AP and automatically connect to thefake AP. Then, we can get all wireless data of these users. In order to use these attack tools with ease and to achieve more functionality, Iput this attack scenario from PC platform into embedded platform. After portingLinux kernel and drivers into an embedded board, I achieved the same functionality ofPC platform. Meanwhile, in order to control the embedded board easily, I alsoachieved a remote control method.
