With the development of pervasive computing and wireless communicationtechnology, research on indoor positioning system in the smart space has became ahotspot. Compare with traditional indoor positioning space, smart space contains avariety of features, such as household devices, wireless sensors, sensing network anduncertain activities of personnel, which are the difficulties for researchers to launch areal-time and accurate indoor positioning system.In this paper, with a deep analysis based on the features of smart space andaccording to the situation of power line is an indispensable infrastructure, using thepower line in the smart space as an antenna, injecting the broadband signal into it toconstruct fingerprint in the space, adapting pattern matching techniques to launch theindoor positioning system which satisfy the feature of smart environment. In order tolaunch the real-time and accurate indoor positioning system, the signal injectiontechnology, fingerprint construction and pattern matching technology, and thepositioning appliances were the key research content.Based on the researches mentioned above, results achieved in this paper depictedas follow:(1) Launching a wideband and high-frequency signal injecting equipment basedon power line with the characters, which ensured the effective transmission of thesignal in the power line, of amplifying the signal voltage from1V to10V;(2) Developing four positioning algorithms based K nearest, support vectormachine, Bayesian and BP neural network. The algorithm based on Bayesian gets thebest positioning accuracy and adaptability of time migration. The positioningaccuracy was remained above65%when the positioning size was3.6×2.7m2,1.8×2.7m2and1.8×1.8m2.(3) Combined with the WPLP positioning aids, the indoor positioning systembased on WPLP has been designed. In order to reflect the advantages of the system, adifference between our WPLP and other’s WPLP has been compared. The resultshows the WPLP system, which developed in this paper, use15frequencies to buildfingerprint of smart space achieves features with better adaptability of time migrationand high accuracy in the same situation.The study of indoor positioning technology based on power line and fingerprintprovide a new approach to launch the positioning system. It is significant for the related theories, key technologies and applications of positioning system in the smartspace.
