With the rapid development of industrial technology and computer technology,profound changes have taken place in the living environment and the productionmode of machinery manufacturing industry. Consumers have higher demand forpersonalized and diversified products, increasing small batch order production modegradually. In order to improve the competitiveness in the industry manufacturingindustry must shorten product life cycle.According to the demand for the personalizedand diversified industrial brake products in the market, model of manufacturingindustrial brake products is developing in the direction that will reduce the cost of theproduct with rapid response to needs of customers. Process design is the mostimportant part in the industrial brake manufacturing process. The degree ofinformation technology of it has thus become key factors to determine thecompetitiveness and market position of industrial brake manufacturing company.CAPP technology is a bridge connecting design and industrial production of brake,and is an effective means to improve the level of process design information. Basedon the industrial arm disc brake, developing the parametric process design system tomeet the demand of the actual process design. Mainly research work is as following:(1)Research on the functional requirements of the arm disc brakeparameterized design system, research on the component of the parametric designsystem, research on the framework of constructing parametric process system.(2)Research on the key technology of process and parametric design systemof arm disc brake.Research on SolidWorks secondary development to fulfillparametric modeling technology.Research on the Interface technology ofSolidWorks secondary development. Research on SQL Sever database interface anddata storage and management technology. Research on parametric and process designtechnology based on the typical template.(3)Research on the principle of group technology. Analysis of structure andcomponent of the arm disc brake.According to group technology, the groupclassification is done to the similar parts of arm the disc brake.(4)Research on the modeling criterion of process model, constructing parametric process model based on assembly and configuration function ofSolidWorks, determining the parameters of process model based on reverse deductionmethod and completing constructing process model.(5)Analysis of the types of information of process model, combininggeometry information and process information, fulfilling the expression ofinformation of parametric and process model based on SML3D.Extraction ofinformation of3D parametric and process model, associating with the correspondedvariable parameters in the process template.(6)Research on the machining process of arm disc brake, constructing theprocess route model of arm disc brake, realizing the parametric design of processroute, process and procedure diagram of arm disc brake parts.This project is based on the analysis of machining features of the arm disc brakeparts, regarding the3D Modeling Software SolidWorks as a platform, taking SQLSever as the backstage database, based on the object-oriented programming languageof Visual Basic6secondary development is done through the API function ofSolidWorks.Establishing the process model and process template of the3D processmodel. By database interface of Visual Basic6and SQL Sever, realizing the storageand management of the process data. Establishing parameterized design system of thearm disc brake which has a friendly operation interface, gaining important meaning toimprove the efficiency of process design of parts.
