At present, the internet of things has become one of the key topics to explore andanalyse in China and other countries and many countries have already promoted the internetof things to the national strategic level. Part of the basic use of the internet of things hasprovided the service to the people in many aspects. Cognitive radio technology is thefirst-class wireless communication technology and can understand the surroundingconditions to adjust its transmitter parameters and the center idea is by the means ofconfiguration but did not get full use of spectrum to improve the spectrum utilization level.the internet of things and cognitive radio technology, spectrum resources to ease theinternet of things facing shortages. This paper completes as follows:(1) The Internet of things to background status of research and development at home and abroadto do a brief analysis of the spectrum of things involved in aspects of research status and spectrummanagement.(2)Researching the spectrum of internet of things. This paper gives the introductionfrom the network architecture and related spectrum demand,to Spectrum planning aspectsof the internet of things to resource management model.(3) The cognitive radio technology and networking technologies combine researchbased on cognitive radio spectrum detection algorithm. M2M network from cognitive, perceptual extension layer spectrum sharing, spectrum sensing scheme, spectrum sensingperformance analysis, energy allocation scheme to illustrate aspects of the simulationresults are given.(4) The concept of four-color algorithm gives forming principle and build process, explain the concept of cognitive clusters, research-driven routing algorithm based onchanges in the spectrum of the source node. And the four-color clustering algorithm basedon maximum node degree and clustering algorithm simulation comparison.
