In recent years, wireless localization technology has made consider-able development, along with the pace of the development of modern infor-mation society, indoor localization technology is playing an increasingly important role in people’s daily life in all aspects. The demand of indoor localization in many industries is increasing, including navigation, super-vision&management, cargo tracking, and other location-based services (LBS). Outdoor localization has gained very mature development based on GPS technology. However, comparing with the outdoor environment, the indoor environment is much more complex, which disturbing objects and electronic equipments will have great impact on localization result. Moreover, requirement of indoor localization accuracy is much higher than outdoor localization, these are the challenges which the indoor localization technology needs to face.This paper has researched and analysised the indoor localization tech-nology, refered to a large number of related technical literature and pro-posed an indoor localization scheme based on Dead Reckoning. This pa-per designed the entire system architecture including data collecting layer, Dead Reckoning layer and calibration layer. This paper described the re-alization of Dead Reckoning method using RFID technology and mobile phone sensors. Meanwhile, this paper proposed a calibration scheme ofDead Reckoning method based on fxed RFID reader and mobile phoneWiFi sensor. The combination of RFID technology and mobile phone hasovercome the disadvantages of each technology.First, this paper analyzed the background of indoor localization andthe current status of research, proposed the research content and the in-novation points of this paper. Second, this paper reviewed the existingindoor localization technology research and related literature. Third, thispaper designed the architecture of the localization system based on RFIDtechnology and Dead Reckoning method, and described the process of thealgorithm of Dead Reckoning method. At last, this paper described theimplementation of the trace tracking system.
