With the rapid development of computer technology, the communicationbetween people and computers has become an integral part of the daily life and work.As a basic and critical research topic in human-computer interaction area, handmotion analysis has become a hot topic in the field of computer and has broadprospects. From the perspective of natural machine interaction, this article studied thehand motion analysis algorithm based on computer vision and its application in thehuman-computer interaction.As a very intuitive and interactive tool, although hand’s detection and motionanalysis based on vision has made great progress, its extraction and analysis incomplex backgrounds are always difficult as its special structural and non-rigid naturehas great uncertainty.First, this article introduces the hand motion analysis technologies andsummarizes the background and current situation of the hand gesture detection andmotion analysis. Then briefly describes the common moving target detection, tracking,event analysis and other aspects of the algorithm. On this basis, this articlesummarizes Microsoft Kinect device as well as the two platforms framework based onKinect, then highlights the algorithms of hand modeling and feature extraction, onaccount of the basic structure and principle of the Kinect.In the hand motion analysis, how to realize the effective segmentation andrecognition of the hand is the most critical element. This article uses the physiologicaland morphological characteristics of the hand to realize the modeling, extraction andsegmentation of hand and the accurate recognition of fingertips through the use ofalgorithms. Then it descripes the gesture recognition algorithm based on Kinect fromthe dynamic and static gestures.Finally, the experimental systems are built and the applications, concerningmoving target trajectory analysis, digital sign language, game control and airhandwriting, are realized, thus testing and verifying the performance of the proposedalgorithm by experiments.
