With the continuous development of human society, more and more magneticfield or information related to the magnetic field exist in nature and social life.Magnetic field as a carrier of information, which carries the information needs to becollected conversion and reproduced, magnetic field sensor has become aindispensable basic components of information technology and its related industries.Today, there is a lot of research on magnetic field sensor, the traditional magnetic fieldsensing method due to the influence of electromagnetic interference and other issues,so its application is restricted. A magnetic field sensor method based on magneticfluid and cascaded long-period fiber gratings will be presented in this paper, combinemagnetic fluid and cascaded long-period fiber grating, the magnetic fluid as theoutsourcing layer in the middle of cascaded long-period fiber grating, through themagnetic fluid properties of magnetic field controllable refractive index, and thenadd the variable magnetic field to change the magnetic fluid refractive index toachieve the magnetic field sensor.The main topic of this paper to a cascade of long period fiber grating as theresearch object, production, packaging, basic characteristics and sensing aspects ofthe application cascaded long period fiber grating, etc. were studied experimentallyand using cascaded long period fiber grating The refractive index of the refractiveindex of the sensitive nature of magnetic characteristics of the magnetic fluid bindingmaterial, a novel method for sensing a magnetic field.The main idea is to use a cascade of long period fiber grating as the refractiveindex of the sensing element, and as the entire magnetic field sensor probe, on theother hand the use of the refractive index of the magnetic fluid under the action of anexternal magnetic field generated by changes in this feature, use it as a Cascadeambient medium long period fiber grating. Combination of the two parts of themagnetic field sensor is completed by measuring the amount of change in refractiveindex to obtain the change of the external magnetic field parameters.The main contents of this paper include: the significance of the research anddevelopment status of the background magnetic field sensor and made a briefexposition; cascade theory calculation of long period fiber grating has been studied, and after the experimental simulation results of its spectral characteristics; right partof the package and the sensor probe produced a cascade of long period fiber gratingstudied experimentally; refractive index sensing capabilities applied magnetic fluidrefractive index properties and cascading long period fiber grating, designed andfabricated based on magnetic fluid and cascading long period fiber grating magneticfield sensor, the use of a magnetic field sensor with adjustable magnetic field strengthmeasurements. Summary and analysis of the results of the magnetic field sensingexperiments, and the experiments carried out further development prospects.The innovation of this paper is to be cascaded long period fiber grating is used inconjunction with magnetic fluid magnetic field sensing, and cascaded long periodfiber grating in the middle of cascaded fiber is etched so as to achieve the effect ofnarrowing the experimental device.
