In recent years, with the development of science and technology and theimprovement of people’s living standard, the animation permeates into all walks oflife gradually. For the use of computer technology, the deformation animationdevelops rapidly. The intermediate frames generation technique is the core ofcomputer animation,which generates a series of continuous and smooth midway filmbetween two key frames, to make the starting key frames naturally and peacefullytransform to end key frames. Most traditional intermediate frames generationtechnique is hard to meet the needs of a large number of animation, and thusdistortion such as distorted selfing appears in the generating process. Suchphenomenon will not perform animation gradient well and be unacceptable. Therefore,the ideal intermediate frames generation technique has been a hot topic in thecomputer animation visual field. Intermediate frames generation has two core issues:one is the vertex correspondence problem, and the other is the interpolation problem.The thesis makes a deep image on this two problems, including the existing researchresults and shortcomings on those both home and abroad, and then puts forward amodel based intermediate frames generation technology with obtaining good effect ofthe deformation.In this thesis, the research mainly was divided into two steps. In the study ofgraph vertices corresponding, calculates control points according to visual featurepoints extracted, model with the control points, establish the correspondence betweenthe feature points with the dynamic plan, do the filling point operation to thecorresponding feature points, and finally set in DBBS modeling with reversing controlpoints for new feature point again. The kind of model based on vertices correspondingalgorithm has good visual effect, wide applicable scope, and can get thecorresponding relationship between the key frames vertex, which lays goodfoundation for the following graph path interpolation.Research on the path of the interpolation, this thesis presents an interpolationmethod based on the graphics’ edge vectors. The method connects the feature pointson the outline of the beginning and end keyframe graph in turn in one direction toform vector and processes graphics edges in the way of vector. Then the runningtrack of each side was constructed via the monotonic vector edge length. It avoids theself-cross and other distortions during deformation process. Experiments showed the method of this thesis can solve the blend problem fromthe root during the graphic gradual process. Generated intermediate frame is relativelysmooth and natural. It meets people’s visual perception and aesthetic orientation.
