:Cities growing scale, meaning the amount of information contained in the city is growing, how to save the good and good management, and effective use of this information for our services now become an urgent problem. Digital city construction is to solve this problem, one effective way. To the reality of urban modeling is an important step to build a digital city. An easy to adapt to a wide range of automated modeling approach has been one of the most popular study. Because in the real world of artificial buildings occupy most of the city, and therefore the modeling of buildings is particularly important. But now prevalent on its modeling methods to collect data to waste a lot of manpower and material resources required for professional, investment and pay a disproportionate and so on.Based on today’s widespread use of building modeling method based on the study and summary, recognizing a single image based modeling method for building low-cost and can be drawn not only a large number of popular, high degree of automation can save big people’s labor and so on. In this paper, based on a single image of the geometry of the building information modeling projection, and in-depth study and discussion of specific calculation method. Try to improve the method of calculating the vanishing point, the vector properties of homogeneous coordinates used in the calculation of the vanishing point, so that the calculation method is more simple and effective. The method of calculating the three-dimensional coordinates of the original point of simplification and extension similar to the model of the building only in parallelepiped expanded to restore the building and the modeling of an isosceles triangle containing isosceles trapezoid elements. So that the original method is more convenient and flexible. As can be seen from the experimental results, has some practical value and reference to the construction of digital cities.
