Stereo image has gradually become a hot spot of research, its applicationprospect is very wide, can be used for3DTV, free viewpoint TV (Free viewpoint TV),3D camera,3D film,3D home theater, computer games, computer graphics, motion,distance education, medical, military, industrial, commercial, virtual view synthesisetc. These areas need not only high quality image signal, the additional informationrequested image is also very high, such as the depth information of the object in theimage, stereo image in these areas can play a more important role. In order toaccurately identify broken stocks, cracks and other surface damage in power lineinspection images, on the basis of collecting, analyzing and testing a large number oftransmission line inspection images, the segmentation technology of stereo image invehicle inspection are studied. Summarized as follows:A new set of difference measurement system is creatively put forward in thispaper. Lots of researches found that the similarity and difference measurement is notcompletely symmetric; difference measurement pays more attention to details. A newdifference measurement method based on the membership degree is proposed in thispaper. First the concept of difference is given, the calculation formula was given.Then the weighted formula of difference measurement is pushed, and the relevantproperties is analysed; finally an example is used to prove the difference with otherexisting methods and than advantage.A disparity estimation algorithm based on difference measurement andresolution is proposed in this paper. The algorithm takes the difference measureproposed in this paper as a criterion of area-based stereo matching algorithm. In orderto avoid mismatches caused by single block matching, the multi block matchingmethod is designed based on analyzing its advantage compared with the single blockmatching. An adaptive window matching method based on Canny edge detection isgiven to improve the matching accuracy of image in low texture and depthdiscontinuity areas. Finally the relationship between resolution and disparity value ofthe image is researched, and then a method using resolution for interpolation of errorpoints is put forward for the first time. A large number of tests using the standardimage, theoretical analysis is done in this paper and experimental results has shownthe effectiveness of the proposed method.The stereo images of actual power line inspection is studied in this paper, and aset of stereo image segmentation system suitable for power line is established.Combine all the steps of stereo image processing, the experiment is finished, and thesystem flow chart of stereo image processing is given. According to the process, the power line stereo image acquisition method, disparity estimation method, thecorrosion, expansion and filtering method of disparity map mask image and maskbased power line extraction method are given. Results show that the power line stereoimage segmentation method proposed in this paper has better effects of segmentationand extraction of power lines.
