It not only seriously affects the efficiency of travel, butalso brings great threat to people’s life and property safety. The traffic problem has been a global majorpublic security problems to be solved in modern society. With the continuous development of mobilecommunication and embedded computing technology, based on the realistic environment, social economyand application point of view, as a high and new technology in the intelligent transportation system,VANET has become an important support of modern transportation and communication platform.Traffic informations through real-time acquisition and exchange, the travelers and drivers can beinformed effectively the road traffic situation including coordination and scheduling, thereby reduce trafficcongestion and safety concerns, and ensure a smooth flow of traffic for travel. When vehicle ad hocnetworks and3G/4G networks or the communication infrastructure are connected, it can provide in-carcommunications and online entertainment on the Internet. However, if all the vehicles communicatedirectly with the base station, it will not be able to endure, so we solve this problem through the networkclustering and selecting optimal gateway.Firstly, this paper introduces the production and application background of VANET, and then raisesthe development and current research status about VANET. Secondly, this paper expounds the VANETcomprehensively, from the network architecture to the communication protocols, from the character to themain application, and then the research difficulties faced technical requirements and applications. Facingthe complex and novel VANET communication requirements and performance needs, the networkclassification cluster can greatly improving the performance of wireless ad-hoc network, the wirelessad-hoc network clustering is introduced in the advantages as well as the related concepts and theories.Through the analysis and comparison of some classical clustering algorithms, we can summarize theadvantages and disadvantages of various algorithms, and the application scenario. These research ideas anddirection provide some useful reference and reminder to us. Later, considering the nature of VANET, combining with some gateway selection methods, this paper proposes a multiple parameters VANETadaptive clustering and gateway election algorithm based on weighted.This paper analyzes the importance of some influence factors in VANET, due to the channelattenuation effect in the real communication environment, the random properties of channel seriouslyaffects the stability of communication links. So the channel quality is a key factor influencing the accuracyof information in network communication. Communication delay of VANET is very important topublishing an urgent notice, risk early warning and timeliness strong application. Vehicles mobility inVANET is the most different from the traditional ad hoc network, vehicle mobility is not only affect thenetwork transmission quality and the communication cost, but also help traffic departments formulatetraffic plans and control. Channel quality, communication delay and mobility as basis for the clustering andgateway election, through the weighted mechanism, make it become the effective gateway election andclustering algorithm.In this article, using the weighted mechanism for multiparameter fitting and processing, a variety ofdifferent scenarios simulation and weighted factor are set. At last, we repeat experiments by the MATLABsimulation software. The analysis of data and results prove our method can meet the needs of differentscenarios and applications of VANET, and achieve adaptive gateway selection. |
