In this paper,the author measures the concentration of carbon monoxide in the air,convertsthe collected information into the analog voltage by MQ gas sensor,and converts the analogquantity into the digital quantity by using the ADC0832A/D converter, then handle it bySingle-Chip Computer. In order to make users get the content of natural gas in the air in realtime,this study aim to display that information through the LCD1602liquid crystal, and useSingle-Chip Computer to control buzzer alarm by setting the alarm value. The study designsnatural gas leakage alarm by using Single-Chip Computer as the control center. The alarmcan measure continuously the carbon monoxide content in the gas for24hours. When thecarbon monoxide ratio in the air is larger than the preset value, the Single-Chip Computer canmake an alert by driving the buzzer. Because of the leakage alarm of natural gas using theSTC89C52as the control center, it can save the cost and increase the work efficiency, and thedesign method is simple and feasible with stable field running effect. In the following, thepaper will state the gas leakage alarm whole design principle,the design of module circuit andcorresponding software program.
