With the rapid growth of the number of pages and continuousexpansion of amount of information in the World Wide Web, the WorldWide Web has become a massive and complex information resource, howto obtain useful knowledge from a lot of information has become aserious problem. Since the information on the Web is growingincreasingly multilingualism, how to improve cross-language informationretrieval technology is concerned by more and more people, multilingualontology is one of the effective based resources to solve these problems.Ontology can reveal richer semantic relations for description ofknowledge. Multilingual ontology can eliminating the ambiguity bringsby conversion different languages for cross-language informationretrieval. Currently, for some of the few existing multilingual ontology,most of them are facing to the public field, the studies of method forbuilding a multilingual ontology in professional field are very few.Therefore, there is an urgent need for research of multilingual domainontology construction method on specific areas and use unified formaldescription.Response to these problems, this paper using the OWL ontologylanguage, put forward the concept mapping method based on semanticcode of bilingual domain ontology, basis to analyzing and comparativethe existing multi-language ontology build methods, and be achieved intwo different ways. The first way is establish synonymous relationship ofChinese and English concepts which have the same semantic code bysetting object properties "HasNumber"; The second way is to put thesynonymous concepts which have same semantic in different languagesas instances in the already defined semantic code class. This methodimproves the defect that original methods cannot effectively achieveconcept mapping in terms of concept mapping, it has a better results interms of multi-lingual concept mapping. Use ontology build tool protégé established an experimental bilingual domain ontology oriented UMLknowledge in computer software engineering based on the second achievemethod. Based on this bilingual domain ontology, designed and realizedquery semantic relations between concepts of UML knowledge usingSPARQL query language, computing concept semantic similarity byupper and lower relationship and non-upper and lower relationship inontology, make the results closer to the actual concept similarity. Thedescription of professional knowledge based on OWL can moreaccurately describe the concept of professional fields from a professionalperspective, more comprehensive collection specific domain concepts,applicable to cross-language information retrieval of computerprofessional field.
