Research And Application Of Automated Testing For Smart TV Software

In recent years, Android operating system is more and more popularly applicatedto lots of Electronic products and Household appliances, such as mobiles, iPad andsmart TV. In order to improve the quality of the Android software, testing is veryimportant. Up to now, more and more test approaches have been applied to increasethe quality of software test, and automated testing is known as the most efficient andeffective way to achieve the goal.The paper is based on the study of testing automation in smart TV based onAndroid OS, which is produced by Internship Unit. It focuses on the study ofautomated testing for the application programming interface based on the automatedtesting framework of JUnit. Firstly, the paper introduces the research background andsignificance, and the current status of the automated testing at home and abroad. Itillustrates the importance of the automated testing and the practical significance ofthis topic. Secondly, the paper presents the basic theory of software testing andautomated testing and general frame of Smart TV. It including automated testingprocesses, frameworks and Android Systems principally. Thirdly, discuss the EclipsePlatform and JUnit test framework in detail. Finally, practical application isimplemented through automated testing of Bluetooth in smart TV. The paperproposes the method of test report based on designing style sheets to form the tabularformat, improving the visibility of the test report.
