The airborne multi-channel radar system under the mode of WAS-GMTI (wide-area scan ground moving target indication) can provide real time surveillance over a vast area, and can even detect, localize and track moving targets in the scene. The dissertation introduces the DBS (Doppler beam sharpening) imaging technology at first, and then stitches images by using the inertial navigation system (INS) data to compensate the motion errors. Finally, researches on moving target detection and relocation are made. In order to improve the accuracy of the moving target relocation, a novel knowledge-based relocation approach is proposed which is used to search the interferometric-phase in the main-beam. Paper can be summarized as follows:1. According to the applications and features of WAS-GMTI, several important radar system parameters are designed, after that, the procedure of data processing under the mode of WAS-GMTI is given.2. Chapter3mainly introduces the DBS (Doppler beam sharpening) imaging technology and stitches images using the inertial navigation system(INS) data to compensate the motion errors.3. For the purpose to false alarm after CFAR (constant false alarm rate), a method which is by fitting interferometric-phase is presented. Experimental results for simulate data demonstrate that this method can further exclude false alarm and improve the moving target detection performance effectively.4. Moving target localization is discussed in chapter5. A method to improve the relocation accuracy by correcting moving target baseline error is introduced. Then, through the analysis of the relationship between moving target and background clutter, a knowledge-based approach for moving target localization is proposed. Finally, processing results of measured data validate the effectiveness of the proposed method by comparing the performances of the above two methods.
