Networked Control Systems are a fully kind of networked and distributed closedloop network control system. Compared with the traditional point-to-point controlsystem, NCSs have a lot of advantages which break the space constraints of physicallocation. For example, they can share information resource, reduce system wiring, besimpler to extend and maintain, and improve the system stability and so on. However,the insertion of the communication network in the networked control systems caninduce delay, data dropout and packet disorder and so on when the data is transmitted.These problems can severely impact the stability of the system and other performance.The main contributions of this dissertation for issues of uncertain time delay are listedas follows:(1) The concept of uncertain time delay is mainly introduced and the classificationis simply made. In the paper the uncertain time delay is analyzed in two cases which areshort-time delay and long-time delay. Then a simple uncertain control system modelingis built by the means of augmented vector. Finally, an example is given to analyze theimpact of the uncertain time delay on the networked control system.(2) The stability of the system is analyzed and the state feedback controller isdesigned, respectively, in both of short-time delay and long-time delay cases based onthe Lyapunov function and linear matrix inequalities. The sufficient conditions of therobust stability and the design of the state feedback control algorithm are developed.Finally, an example verifies the effectiveness of the method.(3) In order to meet the robust stability and the performance index of the system inpractice, the guaranteed cost of the uncertain discrete system with long-time delay isresearched based on the Lyapunov function and LMI. The sufficient conditions of thestate feedback guaranteed cost control algorithm is developed. Finally, an example isgiven to show that the algorithm is effective.
