| There are a large number of network hot words spring up on the Internetevery day,high frequency communication on the network hot words of the traditionalmedia and new media has become a cultural phenomenon,and creating the networkwords has become a kind of objective existence in current network communicationenvironment.These words are mostly concentrated in various social hot events orsocial phenomenon, not only widely spread in the network,more out of thenetwork frequently appear in the traditional media.This leads to a new concept of"Word Media".Word Media was first put forward by Hudong, later the the concepts discussedby the Ministry of education and the State Language Commission, and the " people’sDaily ", Peoples Network public opinion monitoring room, is the relative authoritydefinition of concept of word media. In this paper, the analysis of this concept as thefollowing four points: first, the word media defines the word itself which concentratesevents or social phenomenon as a media form; second, this word can transferinformation; third, words media often out of the meaning of the words, derived from anew meaning; fourth, it also requires a two communication through the networkmedia or traditional media. And also summary the concept of the word media as:Theword media refers to the word as the information carrier, the specifictime,place,person in the social events or certain social phenomena are highlyconcentrated, published online or in traditional media, it is separated from the wordmeaning, for people to quickly grasp the information.This paper is divided into five parts. The first chapter is the introductionincluding the research background, literature review,research significance,researchmethods, innovation points and deficiency; the second chapter overview of wordmedia, including its concept, classification and features;the third chapter analyzes thereasons generating word media,including cultural factors and social psychologicalfactors;the fourth chapter studies the generation process of word media;and the lastchapter studies the word media’s social effects, including the positive and negative effect. |
