Augmented reality is an emerging field of research based on virtual reality technology. It can accurately superimpose and merge the virtualized objects into real scenario by various basic technologies of computer to achieve theexpansion of reality. With the development of science and technology and hardware technology, many mobile terminal devices have strongerfunction and already have the condition to run the AR system, so mobiledevices are the more appropriate platform to run the AR system. As the most advanced mobile operating system, IOS has attracted numerous users with its super performance and perfect user interface,therefore the development of AR system on IOS hasboth importanttheoretical significance and huge market value.Nowadays, many AR systems don’t have interactivity between users andvirtual objects. With the rapid development of AR technology and diversification of display devices, interactivity between users andvirtual objects of AR system is more and more important and diversified. As a result the development of AR system with interactivity between users andvirtual objects has much necessity and good application prospect. This thesis has mainly studied the following content:1.The thesis has studied the tracking registration technology in AR system. Aiming the failure of identification due to the cover of marker or variation of illumination, on the basis of traditional algorithm, this thesis has put forward an algorithm with quickly mark ability based on edge detection and achieved good performance by applying this algorithm into the system.2. The thesis has studied human-computer interaction technology and analyzed the way of human-computer interaction in AR system.Aimingat the characteristics of IOS devices, the thesis also has made a breakthroughofapplyingfingertip detection algorithm into AR system, realizinginteractive function on AR system based on IOS for the first time.3. The thesis has realized the application of AR system on IOS devices, proved the feasibility of developing AR on IOS handheld devices and made the AR system have interactivity for the firsttime with more convenience and smaller size, promoting the miniaturization and portability of AR system.
