In modern control theory, the state feedback design is one important way of control system design. At present, the common design approach is pole placement method. During the state feedback design process of linear system, although the process may seem simple, but it is still quite complicated processing. Because in the design process, not only need to determine the controllability of the control system, but also need to transform matrix for linear control systems as well as to select the desired poles. And this whole process not only requires a lot of computing, and require extensive design experience and a solid theoretical foundation. For simple linear control system design is effective, but when the system dimension is more enormous, the amount of calculation will be large, and the operation will be very cumbersome.Based on the profound analysis of the ways of state feedback design of modern control theory, the paper proposes a method of state feedback design based on differential evolution algorithm.According to the step response performance of the closed-loop system after adding state feedback, the paper uses error integral indicators as a fitness function, and feedback matrix and feed forward gain matrix are selected so that the fitness function to obtain the most optimal solution. When the fitness function to obtain the optimal solution, the choice of state feedback matrix and feed forward gain matrix is optimum. This paper enumerated several instances respectively of single input-single output system, multiple input-multiple-output system, the system is fully controllable and uncontrollable systems using differential evolution algorithm to state feedback design and simulate. Through simulation, confirmed that the system performance of state feedback control system based on differential evolution algorithm is superior to the state feedback control system based on conventional pole placement. Moreover, the state feedback design based on differential evolution algorithm provides a possible easy态new and more effective way of state feedback design.Finally, the differential evolution algorithm is applied to state feedback decoupling control and found out that the use of differential evolution algorithm for state feedback decoupling control is effective. And this proved that the differential evolution algorithm applied to the state feedback has many merits.
