Due to its flexible networking and easy of deployment, mobile ad hocnetworks(MANETS) are widely used in emergency rescue, military battlefield andsmart city, etc. Because of the mutual interference among the wireless links and thedynamic changes of multi-hop data transmission and topology, the design of thewireless ad hoc network data transfer mode and the analysis of its capacity and latencyare facing enormous challenges. Since the two-hop wireless network is the basic unit ofwireless ad hoc networks, this paper, based on the existing two-hop relay withredundancy of f-cast (2HR-f) research and considering the realistic situation, proposes arole heterogeneous2HR-f algorithm and analyzes the network capacity and delay, whilethe two different movement laws is employed by the relay nodes. In the case that the relay nodes and the ordinary nodes have the same movementlaw, using Markov model to analyze the throughput of the mobile ad hoc networks andbased on the simulation to verify the correctness of the analysis results. The resultshows that the number of relay nodes selection has an impact on network performance. When the number of nodes is small, the theoretical value and analog value is similar tothe2HR-f algorithm. With the increase of the number of nodes, the performance will bedecreased to some extent. Further, this paper studies the impact of the number of relaynodes and mobility model on network performance. In the situation that there is alwaysonly one delay node in each activity transmission unit, the simulation results indicatethat not only the network throughput is increased about by40percent but also thenetwork transmission delay is reduced. This study shows that the number of relay nodes and node mobility model are themajor factors affecting the networks’ throughput capacity and delay, and this researchhas reference significance for the design of the network data transmission strategies androuting algorithm.
