The DOA (direction of arrival) estimation is a research hot spot in array signal processing, its application in radar and communication is closely related to our life.Beginning in twentieth Century70time,estimation method based on array processing to achieve super-resolution direction finding technology leap development,this kind of algorithm can be divided into the subspace decomposition algorithm and subspace fitting algorithm,the multiple signal classification (MUSIC) and weighted subspace fitting (WSF) are the representative of the two algorithms.MUSIC estimation and WSF estimation methods are excellent algorithm based on two order statistics,and most widely used,they can get the optimal performance in theory.But to multidimensional nonlinear realization of these two algorithms need a space search,the calculation is very large,this is a bottleneck hindering the development of the two algorithms.Artificial bee colony algorithm is an intelligent simulation an optimization algorithm which simulates nature of bee behavior and appear, and it is a simple model with less control parameters, convergence speed, strong robustness.Therefore, combined with the optimization ability of the artificial bee colony algorithm to solve MUSIC, WSF these two kinds of classical DOA estimation method.This paper first introduces some basic theory and mathematical model of DOA parameter estimation, as well as the basic concept of the artificial bee colony algorithm and mathematical model.Secondly introduce the artificial bee colony algorithm to optimize WSF DOA estimation,then according to the characteristics of WSF method consisting of spatial spectrum,improved search strategy, and puts forward a kind of fast convergence method of artificial bee colony optimization algorithm WSF, through comparing some algorithm,the convergence of the algorithm is greatly improved.Finally, the2-D MUSIC DOA algorithm in multispectral peak searching a large amount of defects, combined with niche technology, puts forward a kind of artificial bee colony algorithm based on the niche to realize2-D MUSIC spectral peak searching optimization problems, can be an estimation of two-dimensional angle multiple sources.
