This paper comes from the website upgrading of a television interactive program withmy participation. This program interactive website creates interactive forums for televisioncolumns, provides services like video-on-demand programming, content sharing andaudience interaction. With the demand of up-going user access, the existing system isneeded to be upgraded to meet the growing access.The upgrade project aims to create a program interactive website with highperformance, high reliability and easy expansion. In the transformation process, the scaleexpansion, high performance and reliability of the website system will be achieved throughload balancing policy. The response speed of website system will be improved through thecache strategies including browser cache, reverse proxy caching, database data caching,which also help reducing the core server’s loading. A database cluster will be formed toenhance the overall performance and liability of the website system through the read-writeseparation of database and master-slave synchronization. The system storage space will begreatly expanded with attached storage. Adopting the backup and redundancy measures, thekey parts of the system eliminate a single point of network failure, enhance its faulttolerance and recovery capabilities, and improve the reliability.After upgrading, the website helps extending the television brand columns to internet,which meets the increasing needs of television interactive programs from audience. And ithas great significance to enhance the competitiveness and expand the brand influence in thethree-net industry.
