Research And Implementation Of QoS Guarantee System By Measurements Based Admission Control Way For Video Conference

The next generation of the Internet has become the trend of development, there are alsomore and more kinds of application services included it. In order to provide reliable quality ofservice (QoS, Quality of Service) for the application services, the research of QoS has becomemore and more important. For the video conference application, it is very sensitive about theperformances of network included the bandwith, jitter and delay, so the QoS guarantee systemcan make it running more smoothly and provide high availability QoS guarantee service.This paper introduces the technology of the QoS guarantee for the video conferenceapplication. It includes the IP multicast, the scheme of Measurements Based AdmissionControl, MOS, some communication protocols and etc. According to the research results andthe actual situation in the video conference application, it puts forward the design of theQoS guarantee system. The main function modules of this system includs thecommunication and message analysis, resource management, network measurement,monitoring and control of conference and so on. Communication and message analysismodule is the foundation for data exchange between tthis system and other external systems.After the message analysised, the service request will be resolved by the conferencecontrol module, it realizes the business logic of the QoS guarantee service. It usesthe resource management management module to allocate the resources. The work inflow measurement for the network environment will be processed inthe network measurement module. At last, the conference monitoring module will monitorand evaluate the service quality of the video conference.This paper describes the overall design and the realization of each function module of theQoS guarantee system. Combined with the characteristic of the video conference system, itputs forward a complete solution of QoS. Finally, the paper gives a test and analysis to themain functions and performance of the QoS guarantee system. According to the test results, itproves that the theory proposed in this paper is correct and the scheme is feasible.
