Wireless sensor network (WSN) can monitor and obtain information from area monitoring andtransmit to the user through related agreement, transmission to the user. It’s convenient for people’swork and life. Since the sensor node is usually battery-powered, the energy is limited, when the nodesconcentrated distribute, the redundancy of information of the adjacent nodes is large, the energycomsuption of transmiting information is large, it affects the sensor node network survival time. Therefore,We focus on the study of how to ensure that the user can get complete information from thereceiving end of the monitored area and significantly reduce the node energy consumption andprolong the life time in the network.Since the energy of sensor node is limited, so the limited processing ability and short survivaltime are main problems we should consider in related algorithm design. The data compressionalgorithm based on compressed sensing(CS) theory has excellent compression performance, lowcoding complexity, it meets the application requirement in WSN, reduce the data redundancy andtransmission of the data quantity effectively, attract people to explore WSN based on CS actively. Thispaper applied distributed compressed sensing (DCS) theory in wireless sensor network. The mainwork and innovation points are as follows:1.Put forward the application of DCS in WSN, compressed the data messages in the node point, use modified Simultaneous Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (SOMP) reconstruction algorithm to recoverthe signal in the network model. Then analysis the success rate of signal reconstruction, normalizedreconstruction error, node energy loss, network survival time and so on. In the guarantee ofreconstruct signals successfully, compressed the data in the node by DCS algorithm can extend thesurvival time of nodes.2. Propose a node dormancy strategy, design a measurement matrix to control nodes working andsleeping in the nodes intensive distribution network. Use modified SOMP reconstruction algorithm tomake the signal recovery accurately at the receiving end, and save the network energy consumptionand prolong network life time effectively.3. Comparative analysis of two kinds of WSN energy saving plan we proposed and thetraditional way, simulation results show that the two solutions of node dormancy strategies andcompressed signals in the node point we presented in the paper save node energy more effectivelythan traditional processing method. Among them, the node dormancy strategy plan is easier to realizeand have better performance.
