In recent years, with the rapid development of the mouse sensor, the superiority useof the mouse sensor to measure is emerged gradually. In all the motion detectingprocess of the technology, the image acquisition and processing to the data output, is bya laser mouse chip implementation. Simply controlling the mouse chip by hardwarecircuit and supplemented by software for data processing, speed and displacementmeasurement can be realized. The main circuit in the mouse chip is semiconductorcircuit, it has many advantages such as high technology content, small volume, lightweight and low price, apply it to the survey control is very convenient. This topicresearch and design a system on motion detecting by the mouse sensor, the mousesensor is studied for motion detection provides a novel measuring tool.Firstly, to analyze and sum up the motion detection methods and the research status,a large number of literature was consulted. The methods and principle of motiondetection using laser speckle technology were elaborated emphatically. Then on thecharacteristics of the mouse sensor and laser speckle measurement technology areanalyzed in theory. Through analyzing various factors that affect the measurement suchas the light source wavelength, the quality of the speckle, features on the surface of theobject to be tested, the important parameters of optical mouse measuring system weredetermined. Then, through the parameters of the mouse chip, the MCU to control themouse chip was selected, at the same time, power supply module and serial conversionmodule were designed respectively. Analyzed all kinds of jamming signal in the circuitto the mouse sensor measuring system, and constantly to improve circuit debugging, amovement of the mouse sensor system was designed, and combined with opticalintegration the motion detection system prototype was made. The controlling softwareand PC operating software based on STC89LE52RC was designed and debugged, andthe system performance experiments were done at the same time. Through the closeshot measurement calibration, the maximum calibration error of the result is0.13%.Through the analysis on the stability of error and close shot experiment results are given,show that the prototype can be used in the motion detection. Finally, based on thestability of the prototype, the software and hardware settings was designed, and toimprove the prototype with external optical element, and He-Ne laser instead of form acomplete set of lens and a built-in laser vision sensor measurements. After completing the mouse sensor measuring system, a large number of experiments were done, theexperimental results show that the prototype time stability is well, it is not sensitive toambient light, but light spot size has obvious influence to the stability of themeasurement.
